Our Reconstruction Unit is coming to a close this week and we are looking at the event that ends reconstruction. It is the Election of 1876 in which a compromise is made that formally ends reconstruction. Going further we are looking at the effects the end of Reconstruction had specifically on the African American Communities in the South.
